Submission Guidelines

Comics generally range from one to five pages. Because one goal of Candy or Medicine is to be accessible to all ages, comics must be appropriate for a general audience. Use popular comics as a general guideline for what is appropriate or inappropriate content (regarding language, violence, sex, etc). Nothing racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. will be considered. It is preferred that the work submitted to Candy or Medicine has not been previously published, but exceptions can be made. There are no themes to the issues.

Please send artwork as a high-resolution JPEG, PDF or similar file. The comic measures 4.25" X 5.5", so artwork must be proportional to that size.

Production Schedule

Candy or Medicine publishes on a quarterly schedule in the months of February (deadline December 20), May (deadline March 20), August (deadline June 20) and November (deadline August 20). Please note that because of the volume of submissions, they will be considered on a first come, first served basis.

As of August 2008, all issues through Volume Seven are booked. However, still feel free to get in touch about contributing so your comic can be included as soon as possible.
